Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Rise, currently exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch, has shipped over 6 million copies. In celebration of the milestone, Capcom is also releasing a free item pack, dubbed the Free Kamura Pack 2.
The Kamura Pack 2: Big Hit Celebration item pack includes 30 Mega Potions, 20 Well-done Steaks, 10 Large Barrel Bombs, 5 Mega Demondrugs, and 5 Mega Armorskins. The item pack can be redeemed for free by talking to the in-game Courier and picking the Additional Content option.
Just last night, Capcom also unveiled details about Monster Hunter Rise’s Update Ver. 2.0. The update adds quite a bit of content to the game, including the Elder Dragons Teostra, Kushala Daora, and Chameleos. The update also adds new Apex monsters, as well as other features for Monster Hunter Rise’s endgame.
Capcom had announced Monster Hunter Rise’s sales figures crossing the 5 million mark earlier this month, and over its launch weekend, it had already shipped over 4 million copies.
For the sake of comparison, Capcom’s most successful game in terms of sales has been Monster Hunter World, and its expansion, Iceborne, was no slouch either. Within a week of Iceborne’s release, Capcom had announced that it had already shipped over 2.5 million copies. The base game hit the 5 million mark almost over the launch weekend.
