A Halo Infinite wall calendar has revealed some artwork from the game, revealing a number of details – including the potential return of a fan-favourite vehicle, the Chopper.
Posted in this ResetEra thread, the Halo Infinite 2022 Wall Calendar features artwork that fans haven’t seen yet, including one image that shows the Chopper vehicle, which first appeared in Halo 3 and hasn’t appeared in a Halo game since Halo 3: ODST. While it doesn’t outright confirm that the Chopper is in Halo Infinite, it strongly suggests it’ll have a part to play in the final game. “I can’t wait to laser some brute choppers in BTB,” said Einchy on ResetEra. Quite!
We’ve seen some of the other images on the calendar before, including the Halo Infinite box art and the third picture, which is the front cover art for Halo: Shadows of Reach, a novel that could be important to the game’s narrative, per previous leaks.
Elsewhere, we’ve got those interesting levitating structures seen in the gameplay demo, and a location that looks a bit like an oil rig on a Halo ring – it’s clear there’s going to be some serious diversity of location types in Halo Infinite. There’s also a damaged Halo ring hovering over a red planet with a ship flying by, and a Gravity Hammer-wielding brute. It’s not clear what any of this means to the story, or if all of the art will translate into gameplay, but it’s certainly interesting to pore over.
