Crash Bandicoot 4 Studio is Now a Support Studio for Call of Duty: Warzone

Activision studio Toys For Bob has announced that it will be working on support development for Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone. The studio announced its new role through a tweet.

Alongside the announcement of Toys for Bob’s new role in the Activision hierarchy, several members of the studio’s development staff have also announced that there have been lay-offs at the studio.

Ex-lead character designer on the Spyro Reignited Trilgoy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Nicholas Kole, revealed that he, as well as everyone that he worked with, have been let go from Toys for Bob. Kole also revealed that he doesn’t know whether Toys for Bob is working on a new game in either the Spyro or the Crash franchise.

Toys for Bob is famous for having worked with the critically-acclaimed remakes of the classic Spyro the Dragon trilogy, as well as more recently, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The studio is also known for having worked on the Skylanders franchise, as well as older games like Star Control 2.

Toys for Bob follows a long list of studios under Activision that have been absorbed into the company’s larger franchises. Last year, Vicarious Visions was revealed to have been absorbed into Blizzard, and is currently working on the Diablo 2 remake.

Toys for Bob is joining the ranks of Activision Shanghai, Demonware, Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Sledgehammer, Raven Software, Beenox, and High Moon Studios in now working on the Call of Duty franchise.
